? About Us - BMCB
The Bukit Merah Concert Band consists of a team of enthusiastic young people who have the same
passion for music.
This year, the band's membership had increased to 70+ and it also has undergone quite a number of changes.
Under the baton of our conductor, Ms Esther Lim, we have performed in various events such as Chinese New Year, Sec1 Orientation, Speech Day & National Day.
We also had band exchanges with Henderson, Yu Ying, Si Ling & MacPherson Secondary School.
Through these activities, we had learnt something from the people in other bands.
Last year, the band have lots of events like the Festivo,
National Day performances, Competiton etc.. The band also went to Hongkong for masterclass and a school exchange together with a performance at the Disneyland.
Now we are working forward for the SYF.

They are starting!!! ;p
Many things will happen during November practices. Fundamentals will be tested on and revised. Those who did not finish the test will complete them, many new pieces will be learnt.
It's going to be difficult few practices (many many things to do in a limited period of time) and the Sec 3s will not be around for many of the practices (they have lessons). Sec 2s and Sec 1s, we will have many interesting days ahead! :D

from the first day of band...you guys must work hard to achieve what we want!

if you are not sure about the rythm...write the (1 e n a)... clap your rythmn..
juniors, please go and memories your fingering...
remember your majors scales..
practice the pieces given to you guys!
write down your accidentals..(flats, sharps,naturals)
any problems, please tag in the board..i will try my best to answer you guys!^^
